Mandelic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) known for its large molecular size allowing it to penetrate the skin slowly, reducing risk of irritation while it works to exfoliate the outer layer of the skin, promoting cell turnover, targeting tone, texture, and signs of aging. Phytic acid is a gentle exfoliant and antioxidant derived from rice bran that can help brighten and protect the skin. Gluconolactone is a polyhydroxy acid (PHA) with both exfoliating and hydrating benefits.
