Bakuchiol is the plant compound that occurs naturally in these seeds, widely used in skincare as a gentler alternative to retinol, which is why formulators reach for the raw seed oil rather than a ready made serum. Because it is unrefined, expect a strong earthy aroma, a thick dark amber pour & a little sediment over time - all signs that nothing has been stripped out or blended in.
